Blackburn-based Bibi Interior Architecture has been announced as a finalist in the Society of British and International Design (SBID) 2013 International Design Awards as a result of its work on a luxury five bedroom residence in Lancashire. The announcement was made on the evening of the 26th September at the IIDEX Canada design and architectural expo in Toronto. Nearly 150 nominations were submitted from more than 20 countries but, having impressed a judging panel of design experts, Bibi saw off the competition as was named one of the eight finalists for the category of Interior Design Project between £50,000 and £100,000. This is the second successive year in which the company has been shortlisted.

New Ravenna Mosaics creative director Sara Baldwin has created a new collection just in time for those summer months. As part of the Delft collection, Chinoiserie is a hand cut jewel glass mosaic shown in Marcasite, Pewter, Mica with a Quartz Sea Glass finished background.The collection was inspired by Chinese porcelain from the Netherlands back in the 1600s. The crisp and vibrant colour combinations, and the intricate patterns are both inspired by Asian and European influences.
