Where Saints Go launch new Scandi-inspired seating range
Eclectic interiors brand Where Saints Go has launched a new seating collection inspired by timeless Scandi style.
The Scandi Edit brings together five statement seats, typified by sleek lines and wooden finishes.
Each seat has been handpicked for its versatility, ensuring they not only complement dining suites, but work just as well in a home office or bedroom. They will even elevate outdoor dining spaces too (just watch out for the rain).
Exuding minimalist chic, each piece has been handpicked for its contemporary boho feel and will enhance a wealth of interior styles.
Faye Leeming, Brand Manager for Where Saints Go, said: “This new seating collection pays homage to timeless Scandi styling. As with a lot of Scandi-influenced design, each seat in this collection unifies form and function, offering exceptional good looks that are extremely comfortable.”
The collection is made up of the Copenhagen, Ikast, Magnus, Kenny and Odense seats.
The Ikast Dining Chair is crafted from solid wood and luxurious faux leather. The dark walnut wood perfectly complements the black faux leather of the seat.
The Magnus oozes sophistication with its solid wood base and PU leather upholstery. It’s subtle zig zag arms add a striking modern touch.
Available in a walnut and natural frame, the Odense boasts a hand-twisted paper coil seat and a frame crafted from solid ash.
The Kenny, which is available in three finishes, is a mid-century inspired classic that will command attention wherever it is based.
The Copenhagen, which is carefully carved from solid ash wood, is hand-shaped into a curving masterpiece. Its ash structure is hand-stained in a rich walnut shade, while the removable seating pad is upholstered in PU leather in classic grey.
Faye added: “Each chair has been hand-finished by some of the best craftspeople in the interiors’ world. And it is a real thrill to be able to bring this slice of Scandi-inspired seating to the British market.”
It has long been assumed that bad posture or slouching was the route of back pain. However, Back in Action is here to dispel this and instead tell us that posture is less important and that we should be talking about balance.
Concentrating solely on posture and keeping your back straight can cause people to stiffen up, whereas Back in Action encourages movement and balance as the focus for back health. Lucinda Newbound, Senior Ergonomic Expert for Back in Action, explains, ‘Nearly all back problems can be solved with movement. Stop trying to focus on sitting up straight, as this is causing your body to not move. Engage your core and balance instead.‘
Kneeling chairs, balance balls or seating cushions will engage your core and force you to balance when sitting while also ensuring your body continues to move which is vital. Movement can help ease back pain by stretching tight muscles as well as strengthening them. By looking after your core and back muscles, it can help to support your back and as a result will benefit your posture without having to focus on it. If you minimise activity, it’s likely to lead to problems in the long term. Ensuring your back and core muscles are strong, will, in the long term, work towards keeping your back healthy.
through all Back in Action products, not only the Mobiliser. From desks, chairs, sofas, beds and accessories, Back in Action’s furniture incorporates movement from a gentle tilt such as the Varier Social Chair to total mobilisation with Varier Move Stool. The ergonomic furniture specialists champion movement and continue to challenge conventional furniture and provide unorthodox unparalleled comfort for the UK market.

Calypso Bathrooms, leading premium British bathroom furniture brand, proudly launches its highly anticipated spring collection for 2024. Expanding upon the brand’s already extensive offerings, the launch provides design-led homeowners with an even broader selection of high-quality, trend-led bathroom furniture solutions.
The launch brings texture to the forefront of bathroom design with the introduction of the horizontally fluted Petra, and Levanto Fluted vanity collections. The launch also includes three brand new LED mirrors, Adria, Andrina, and Ostra, which play with shape, and a carefully curated array of new furniture, finishes, brassware, ceramics, and hardware, seamlessly blending traditional style with modern functionality.
Charlotte Tilby, Head of Marketing at Calypso Bathrooms, provides valuable insights into five key trends and products from the latest collection.
1. Wonderful Woodgrains
The desire for spa like bathrooms has been rapidly growing in recent years with homeowners opting for natural woodgrain finishes, and gentle, rounded lines in bathroom design. This shift has also seen an increasing demand for texture in bathroom furniture such as fluted and slatted wood.
Calypso’s new Petra vanity collection offers mid-century sophistication with modern elegance and is available as wall-hung vanity units in two sizes and a matching fluted Tall Wall Unit, available in Coral White, Tortona Oak, and Persian Walnut finishes. The Levanto wave-fronted vanity range also receives a modern update, now available in new layout configurations and finishes with a fluted front design that further enhances the appeal of this popular range.
2. Seamless Spaces
Increasingly, the boundaries between bath, bed, and dressing spaces are blurring, akin to the open-plan concept seen in kitchen, dining, and living areas. As such, cohesive matching furniture across the home has driven demand for a wider array of colour options and finishes in the bathroom than ever before. Think matching your three-piece en-suite to your chest of drawers or wardrobe to create a feeling of expansion and connection throughout the more restful areas of your home.
Earthy greens and aquatic blues take the spotlight alongside softer cashmeres and neutrals with pink undertones. Matte finishes have also gained popularity for their tactile, light-diffusing properties, fostering a gentle ambience.
3. Mirror, Mirror
Accessories play a crucial role in transforming a space, such as strategically positioning mirrors to enhance lighting and create a more inviting atmosphere. Modern LED mirrors have become the go-to-choice amongst homeowners, as they are fantastic at enriching bathroom spaces with soft, ambient lighting and making compact spaces seem more spacious.
Calypso Bathrooms introduces three new LED Mirror ranges, available in a variety of sizes. Each mirror comes equipped with energy-efficient demister pads, ensuring a fog-free experience. These mirrors feature adaptive lighting options, allowing for effortless adjustment of LED brightness and temperature to create the perfect ambience, blending functionality with style.
4. Modern Heritage
Homeowners prefer lasting investments over frequent changes, focusing on durable, timeless designs. While paint and decor updates are simple, thoughtful selection of fittings is crucial, especially in less reversible areas like bathrooms. This trend involves updating traditional items with modern colours or finishes, especially in brassware, where alternatives compete with traditional chrome. These finishes subtly modernise bathrooms, even in heritage-style spaces.
5. Do-able Updates
There has been a notable increase in demand for ‘partial refurbs’ over full bathroom redesigns in recent times, with homeowners favouring accessible, simple, updates that cause minimal disruption and create more space in even the most compact of bathrooms. Updating the vanity, adding a mirror, or simply swapping out hardware have become popular solutions, offering a significant transformation without the need for extensive renovations. Within the launch, Calypso provide an array of space-saving product designs that enhance style and functionality while optimising space.
The bathroom is one of the most important spaces in our homes, it is not just a mere wash space, but a place that many of us use to relax and unwind. We talk to Phil Etherden, Managing Director behind Essex-based The Albion Bath Co, about what sets their luxurious products apart from the competition.
When we launched The Albion Bath Co in 1996, our mission since conception has been to create the ultimate in luxurious bath tubs that combine the best qualities of cast iron but with modern technology. Back then, there were only two materials that were available at the time; acrylic and cast iron. Acrylic, which is a soft plastic, became popular in the 1970’s due to ease of manufacture and low cost. However, acrylic’s properties fell short of what the customer wanted, whether it was an issue with its strength, overall look, or the fact it was easy to scratch. These shortcomings remain true to this day.
Most of our baths and all of our vanity units can be colour matched to any Farrow & Ball or Dulux Trade colour, meaning customers can make their tub the star of the show with a bold stand-out shade, or choose to coordinate their bath with their vanity and the surrounding bathroom decor. All we need is a colour code or name and we’ll do the rest. The spraying process gives a smooth finish with a slight sheen. It is hard wearing, washable and if you fancy a change of colour in the future, the surface can be painted over.
Cast Iron baths have been used for over 120 years. Although often considered as the ‘real thing’, cast iron has many drawbacks, such as excessive weight, incredible heat loss from the bathing water and are also prone to surface chipping. Homeowners also found that liquid cleaners would ruin the white interior surface. So, after two years of intensive development, I formed a new unique material, Iso-Enamel. This was developed from an amalgam of special minerals and stone powders, which ensures that our baths will retain heat in the bathing water, giving bathers the ultimate luxurious experience for longer. It is also less than half the weight of cast iron – so customers can have the cast iron look without having to spend hundreds on reinforcing their bathroom floor. Believe it or not, the average weight of an Albion tub is a mere 70kg.
Our exclusive material will happily stand up to all cleaning products, even limescale removers, with no fear of discolouration, scratching or chipping. Over the years it has allowed us to faithfully recreate the shapes of iconic classical bath designs that other manufacturing materials simply cannot accommodate.
Every single Albion bath is handmade in our UK-based factory. We are passionate about preserving manufacturing in the UK. By being involved at every stage of a product, from conception to final creation, we can ensure we produce the highest quality products. We are also proud to sell directly from our Essex showroom, which allows us to cater for specific needs and requests so that each Albion product has a personal touch, something that is often lost in today’s internet age.
We also offer a collection of high-quality wooden vanity units to compliment our baths, again all handmade to order from our Essex workshop. These are available in a range of sizes from 450mm – 1500mm, making them suitable for any space, from small cloakrooms right through to super-sized bathrooms. Storage is a crucial part of any bathroom, but it often gets overlooked. With five designs to choose from including double and single basin options, customers will be able to find a solution to perfectly suit their space. Each unit is painted by our own skilled craftsmen using a specialist polyurethane paint that’s ideal for a bathroom.
We are also very proud that our elegant frameless shower enclosures are manufactured from our Essex factory. At Albion, we make our shower enclosures from 10mm thick toughened glass with the added process of post annealing. This provides superior rigidity and durability. All edges, whether exposed or not, are bevelled and polished – providing a luxury finish with superior optical appearance. It’s also worth noting that our fittings are made from 316 marine grade stainless steel. So even with harsh cleaning chemicals and aggressive limescale remover, we can be confident our products are corrosion-free and will look pristine for years to come. We offer a vast range of sizes and formats to suit almost every bathroom configuration. From side or corner entry and ‘walk in’ enclosures, through to tray or non-tray mounting of the glass, there is shower format to suit everyone.
In addition to the Farrow & Ball and Dulux Trade colours, we also offer our exclusive ‘burnished’ finishes in gold, iron or bronze for our baths. These luxurious metallic finishes make a great statement in a bathroom and are hugely fashionable at the moment, giving a real sense of getting back to base materials. Our luxurious burnished finishes are a popular option for anyone looking for a solid, industrial warehouse look and make a stylish focal point. Alternatively, they also look surprisingly at home in more traditional schemes, and I have seen them work really well in country houses, where the bronze or gold finishes have been paired with bold floral or simple striped wallpapers to give an opulent feel.
Small and large free standing baths are now the ‘go to’ for the luxury bathroom. Whether your bathroom is space challenged or generous in its dimensions, a free standing or roll top bath will give your sanctuary that touch of understated elegance. Freestanding baths are available in many styles, single or double ended, with many possible feet or plinth options to choose from. There are also a great range of versatile, over-bath shower systems available meaning one can achieve a luxurious spa-like feel which is still practical for family life too. We’ve got all of the bases covered with bath tubs available in sizes from 1200mm through to 2000mm long.
At Albion Bath, we’re always looking to push the boundaries of bathing enjoyment. We wanted to get the fun factor of a free-standing tub into a small bathroom – so the Tubby roll top bath was born. With its generous depth, you can get fully submerged but at only 1200mm long, it can grace a small space that may otherwise be redundant. Amazingly, the Tubby has created a trend for putting a small bath into bedrooms. I guess it’s testament to the appeal and versatility of this lovely bath tub.
The launch marks Sentta’s first collaboration with Canadian studio REPUBLIC OF II BY IV
REPUBLIC OF II BY IV is thrilled to debut the Samara Collection, in collaboration with Sentta, at Salone del Mobile 2024 in Milan, Italy. The launch of this collection marks a milestone for both companies’ inaugural collaboration.
Comprised of a lounge chair, sofa, and sectional, the Samara Collection takes its aesthetic cues from the dynamic movement and constantly shifting landscape of sand dunes, caused by the desert wind. Drawing on the mesmerizing effect of shifting light and shadow across the sand, the collection exudes a bold presence, while maintaining a sense of awe and tranquility.
Specialized techniques were required to ensure the distinctive gestures of both the solid wood base and the upholstery. The standout feature of the collection lies in its impeccable execution of the voluptuous upholstered back. Emphasis was placed on perfecting the proportions of the curved back detail to achieve a balance of comfort and functionality.
From its bold silhouette to its materiality, Samara exemplifies the partnership’s dedication to quality craftsmanship and environmental responsibility, enhancing interior spaces and contributing to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
The Samara Collection will be on display at Salone del Mobile from April 16-21, 2024, at Hall 5 Stand B03.

Piumati introduces new Murano Glass table lamps to its range of prestigious decorative lighting solutions: Chandeliers, Pendant Lights, Wall Sconces and Ceiling Lights.
The new table lamp collection proposes six differently designed models that combine modern styles with the ancient Murano tradition, creating a bridge between Venetian history and contemporary Italian design.
The distinctive value of PIUMATI handcrafted table lamps, is not only the excellence of their design and quality: the lamps are customizable in many different colors, lampshades and metal finishing, according to customers’ lighting project style.
THE ESSENCE OF ELEGANCE BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERNITY
We are in Venice, on the Murano island. Every morning the twenty craftsmen of our furnace gather in front of the incandescent mouths of the ovens and plan the day’s production.
The masters in the 4 work squares draw on stone blackboards the blown glass lighting fixtures they will give life to during an intense day of toil. In the meantime, our planners together with the designers trace the lines of the Chandeliers, Wall Sconces & Floor Lamps that make our production unique and exclusive.
PIUMATI is our vision of how Murano Glass tradition should be expressed at its maximum. Piumati’s aim is to value the blown glass art, with the ultimate purpose to celebrate the uniqueness of our Venetian heritage and the Italian one as a result.
The brand PIUMATIowes its name to a historical type of Murano glass processing of the 17th century obtained by applying hot glass threads of another color around a blown glass that, combed up and down, take on an elegant feather pattern, from which derives the name of “piumati”, that means “feathered”.
Cult is thrilled to announce its new collaboration with A TOKO, a boutique brand founded by Alex Whitton in 2023. The partnership showcases a sustainable initiative in supporting a small Eco-friendly business and supporting their reach in the furniture industry.
A TOKO is inspired by Alex’s love for Indonesia, a lot of his influences and inspiration came from his partner Sara, who grew up in Jakarta and later in Bali. Her love for the culture proved to be highly infectious and combined with Alex’s love for mid-century modern furniture led to the creation of A TOKO.
A TOKO prides itself on utilising sustainably sourced materials and ensuring fair payment to all artisans involved in their production process. With Sara’s upbringing in Jakarta and Bali, the brand embraces Indonesia’s rich heritage while infusing it with a modern, mid century aesthetic.
The partnership between Cult Furniture and A TOKO marks our journey towards promoting sustainable craftsmanship in the furniture industry. By highlighting the traditional skills and practices of Indonesian artisans, both companies aim to celebrate the history and relationship between the materials and the craft.
“We are excited to join forces with A TOKO in our commitment to improving our sustainable practices, this partnership allows us to not only offer unique and ethically produced furniture to our customers but also to support the communities and artisans behind these beautiful creations.” said Roger, Product Director at Cult.
As Cult prepares to launch a sustainability campaign this March, the collaboration with A TOKO exemplifies our support to promoting environmentally conscious practices within the furniture industry. Together, we aim to inspire consumers to make more sustainable choices while celebrating the artistry and heritage of Indonesian craftsmanship.
A private residence of around 800 square meters. This property contains four bedrooms, a living room, dining room, lounge, study, beauty salon, and gym and is located in the center of Jakarta, Indonesia.
The confident combination of themes, materials, and textures results in a subtle glitz. In a mixture of paradoxes, modern forms are contrasted with classic furnishings. Vibrant pops of color, both deep and dazzling, are strewn throughout the house. Covet House’s pieces were essential in creating this exquisite, lux look.
CLUBHOUSE
The exclusive clubhouse is meant to amaze, with all of its glitz and gloss. It features a bright atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, dominated by black and gray tones and accentuated with gold tones and contemporary furnishings. It is ideal for organizing exclusive parties and game evenings with family and friends, as it is divided into two spaces, a bar and a living room.
With high-quality goods like the Kelly Bar Chairs, inspired by the sculpted arches from the bar in the classic movie Casablanca, it’s a timeless and unforgettable piece, a staple item and incontestable symbol of the Essential Home brand, this luxury design does not skimp on comfort and elegance.
RESIDENTIAL
The confidence, the materials, the blend of textures with vivid hues, and the deep sparkles scattered throughout the items make this private residence the envy of any luxury hotel. The quality and attractiveness of the goods used in a project are key factors to consider when creating a design of this proportions. The entrance embraces two iconic pieces from Brabbu, the Andes armchair, a mid-century modern furniture item that pays tribute to the people native of the Andes Mountains. The soft upholstery is matched in with Koi Side Table, with a base in brushed aged brass and a top in marble, this round side table adds a refined elegance and modern touch to this more classic interior design.
The living room exemplifies all that is wonderful about quirkiness, beginning with the golden tones found in the lovely table and amazing lamp. The organically shaped Eden Gold Center Table from Boca do Lobo is the center stage of this room. This table represents a part of the tree of knowledge and the tale of the birth of desire. Fully made of polished casted brass, with a delicately engraved top exposing the heart of a golden tree to the very heart of the living room.
Combined with the light tones of the sofas and cupboards to provide the warmth and cosiness that we all need in a living room. The dining room is notable for the exquisite pink velvets utilized in the seats, the polished silver cabinets, and the stunning crystal lamp that embodies the project’s grandeur.
Moving on to the bedroom, we can see that good taste is still at the forefront of the project, despite the fact that this is a much more private space where the tranquility of neutral tones is essential for relaxation. The bedrooms have a touch of sophistication in the combination of diverse materials, the huge ceiling light, and the high curtains that complement the large windows, never forgetting the splendor.
COVET HOUSE keeps up with the latest inspirations with BOCA DO LOBO, DELIGHTFULL, BRABBU, KOKET, MAISON VALENTINA, CIRCU, LUXXU, ESSENTIAL HOME, RUG’SOCIETY, PULLCAST, FOOGO, and CAFFE LATTE. Inspiring and creating new trends.
