Villiers design and create truly bespoke furniture and works of art. Built with the finest materials and superb craftsmanship, their pieces are custom made to last more than a lifetime.
Among their collections are dining and console tables, mirrors, lighting, modern metal furniture and sculptures. Every Villiers piece is made to order, whether they are working to an existing design, or a one-off commission.
With well-honed artisanal skills, they combine traditional methods and machinery with modern tools and technology. One of the most valuable machines in their workshop is a 100-year-old power hammer, and blacksmithing is an integral part of their production process – an ancient metal working skill that they are keen to keep alive through the specialist expertise of their team.
This year, their passion for beautifully made metalwork led them to the opportunity of a new initiative with Australian award-winning sculptor, Matt Hill. Matt’s signature pieces are large geometric animals and stratified spheres that light up at night. His globally recognised large-scale sculptures include elephants, hippopotamuses, and of course, kangaroos.
The Villiers collaboration with Matt Hill allows them to bring his unique work to the northern hemisphere, with a lower carbon footprint. Using Matt’s exacting designs, authenticated with his signature, their team custom build and deliver mesmerising sculptures to order. The steel structures are already 40% recycled material when built, they require no maintenance and naturally oxidise over time to a beautiful rust red finish.
