Interphone has been serving the commercial and residential sector for more than 50 years designing, installing and supporting a wide range of security access and communal TV satellite systems. To keep pace with the latest technology innovation and demands in the marketplace, Interphone recently launched a new business division to offer truly integrated solutions that incorporate home and building automation and entertainment solutions.
Ingeny provides advanced solutions to control a wide range of equipment and systems in the home at the touch of your fingertips. In fact, home and building owners can control and monitor their property from anywhere – so, just as easily from the sofa or a remote location – using any smartphone, tablet or network device.
As part of the launch strategy, Ingeny needed a dedicated showroom and demonstration facility that would support the growth of the business and help it engage with existing and potential customers.
The new division is part of Interphone’s vision of a future that demands an integrated solution. The showroom elegantly demonstrates how all of the technology and control solutions come together in a truly seamless way and is located at Interphone’s head office in Harrow, North West London.
DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
As the showroom was primarily to be used as a demonstration facility, the design focused on creating a space to launch the new business and best represent the equipment and technological systems that can be automated. Therefore, it was developed to a high specification with various home and building areas that are of interest to prospective customers including a lounge, dining room, boardroom and reception areas.
As part of the development process, Ingeny engaged with an interior designer and a lighting consultant, as well as building specialists such as electrical contractors and plumbers, who worked alongside its own in-house design, project management and installation teams to create the 2,000 square feet showroom located on the first floor of the head office facility.
FUNCTIONALITY
The showroom effectively demonstrates all aspects of the solution including Ingeny’s branded user-interface that integrates a wide range of technologies including:

As a result, it is possible to demonstrate the true and wide-ranging functionality of the solution such as opening or closing blinds automatically, adjusting the lighting, selecting a movie or music track, turning the heating on or off, locking door and activating an intruder alarm system via a tablet, smartphone or networked device, true integration to access solutions such as door entry systems, traditional fob access and biometric access, as well as as remote monitoring for maintenance, LED lighting with motion sensors.
