What’s different about YOU?
A move away from the traditional pedestal base, the YOU recliners feature a distinctive four-legged frame, and looping arms. We think it looks like a quirky doodle or a handwritten signature.
The base and back are slimmer and lighter, with a silhouette that is clean and contemporary. It’s a much younger-looking recliner.
The YOU sofa is a deep, welcoming reclining sofa which seems to balance on a base, not coincidentally, like an upturned ‘U’. The combination of clean lines and being raised off the floor gives this sofa a neat minimal look.
The technology behind YOU
Whilst great design appears effortless, it tends to be based upon years of experience. The YOU range features all of the design patents which makes the Stressless brand synonymous with comfort.
The BalanceAdapt system means that the YOU sofa will adjust to your every movement. Whether you sit up, sit back or lie flat, the seat and back will continuously adjust to your movements. And if you want to strech out along the length of the sofa, the base will tip forward to be flatter, creating a wider seat on which to sprawl.
The YOU recliners features the lumbar support for which Stressless has been known for generations. The combination of two patented mechanisms: the Glide system and the Plus system, means that you can adjust the position of your seat continously in relation to your height, weight and preferences.
The result is a totally bespoke seating experience, every time.
Personalise YOU
Both the sofa and the recliner frame come in aluminium or solid European beech wood in a choice of three different colour stains.
YOU can be upholstered in a wide variety of high-grade leathers and fabrics, including a low-maintenance velour and a beautifully soft wool. The wide colour range is clean and light with plenty of sensible hues and a few more quirky options.
The YOU recliner actually has three variants. They’re known to their friends as Michael, James and John. Michael features cross-hatch decorative stitching on the back, John has horizontal stitching, and James has no decorative stitching. Both James and John have adjustable head cushions.
The sofa comes in a 2-seater or a 3-seater. ‘Michelle’ has the cross-hatch sitching and ‘Julia’ does not. The sofas are available in the same leathers and fabrics as the recliners. Mix, or match, they’ll always look great.
The history of YOU
