At last week’s prestigious Peach Hero and Icon Awards, they beat a formidable shortlist including the likes of Jamie’s Italian, Wagamama and YO! Sushi, to be named Coolest Big Brand. Winning this award, based on a survey of 10,000 diners throughout the year, means the Las Iguanas experience has been voted the most exciting and cool by customers. Quite an endorsement!
This award, presented at London’s County Hall last Thursday in a ceremony attended by the great and good of the restaurant world, coincides with the opening of their 33rd restaurant, back in Bristol where the Las Iguanas adventure first began 22 years ago. Since then they have been inviting diners to immerse themselves in the colour, chaos and charm of Latin America, through their mouth-watering authentic food and uniquely warm and welcoming hospitality. Combining the freshest, highest quality ingredients – with a healthy dose of Latin magic and passion, of course – to create distinctive specialities inspired by the diverse mix of influences that make up the Latino culture has clearly been a recipe for success with Las Iguanas’ happy diners.
