The UK’s number one furniture trade event is back with a bang for the New Year – and you’d be mad to miss it!
From more exhibitor space and feature areas to bigger stands and more manufacturers and suppliers of furniture and furnishings, attending the January Furniture Show (22-25 January NEC, Birmingham) should be a New Year’s resolution that’s definitely not broken!
The five packed halls will offer the best in furniture, furnishings, accessories, lighting, flooring and fabrics from the best known names in the business – from both the UK and abroad.
With a strong line-up confirmed, those in the design and contracts markets can take advantage of visiting many of the major brands including Parker Knoll, Baker Furniture, Libra, Whitemeadow, Duresta, Willis & Gambier, Gallery Direct including Frank Hudson and Dreamworks, Westbridge, Alstons, Dar Lighting and ercol.
Visitors will also benefit from the Great Hospitality Show which is running alongside JFS in Hall 9 from 23-25 January. Dual registration is available as well as a free shuttle bus in between halls, giving visitors the opportunity to see many more designs and products than ever before. Members of the Society of British Interior Designers (SBID) will also have access to an exclusive VIP lounge in Hall 2.
The raft of new exhibitors and dedicated areas will add greater variety and a new dimension to the event, making the show the most complete furniture and home furnishings exhibition in the UK calendar.
Other ‘must-see’ stands include Crown Floors where legendary football and movie hard man, Vinnie Jones, is proving he has a softer side with the launch of the Deacon Jones range. Partnering with flooring expert, Danny Deacon, to create the Deacon Jones brand, the pair have hand-picked eight exclusive Crown Floors carpet styles.
A new sign up for 2017 is Ekornes – one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the Nordic region. This will be the first time it has exhibited at the show since 2009 and the company is looking forward to exhibiting its Stressless range of swivel and recliner chairs and sofas.
Leading producer of foam mattresses and pillows, Mlily, has recently announced a world exclusive deal with Manchester United as its first official mattress and pillow partner. The five-year deal will see Mlily support the club in focusing on the sleep and recovery of its players. It will showcase its latest ranges, and host a special guest from Manchester United on the stand.

Three new collections of upholstery and cabinets are being launched from three new-to-the-UK, factories.
