Virserius Studio is a NY and Paris-based interior architecture and design firm that draws upon its multidisciplinary strengths to deliver exceptional results for a growing roster of clients including Marriott, Blackstone Group and Pandox. Sisters Therese and Regina Virserius lead a global, multicultural team comprising artists, brand architects and storytellers dedicated to creating surprising and joyful guest experiences throughout the world.
The firm’s philosophy is to incorporate art with design in their spaces to give dimension, create limitless possibilities and unexpected moments, so that guests have a fully engaging and multi-sensory experience.
The last year has been marked by continued expansion, including new projects in the Caribbean and Europe, as well as its entry into sub-Saharan Africa. Virserius Studio was contracted by Hilton Durban in South Africa for both the casual dining restaurant Big Easy Winebar & Grill, working with the design team of pro golfer Ernie ‘Big Easy’ Els and Beyond Hospitality, and Hilton’s renovated executive lounge. The successful openings of both projects have set the tone for additional projects on the continent and beyond – Big Easy Miami has just opened, and a location in Malaysia is slated to open later this year.
Additional recent efforts have included the guest suites at Renaissance Paris La Defense, the revitalized prefunction area, ballrooms and meeting rooms at Marriott Charles de Gaulle, and a new meeting concept, The Experience Floor, at Hotel BLOOM, an art-hotel in Brussels, Belgium. The recent opening coincided with the hotel’s tenth anniversary. More importantly, in light of safety concerns in the aftermath of recent terror attacks, the collaboration between Hotel BLOOM and Virserius Studio on the project marked unwavering confidence in the hospitality sector in one of the world’s most important cities for international meetings and conferences.
