Chantelle Lighting is shaping the industry in terms of creating and manufacturing beautiful, on-trend bespoke lighting products. The company was born some two and a half decades ago, as Anthony Holly, managing director, focused on a vision to offer a personal service from inception, through to implementation and completion.
Design influences come in all shapes and sizes from across the globe, but Chantelle feel it is hugely important to remain in line with the times, constantly evolving and creating fresh and exciting products, which complement the changing interior design trends moving forward.
Approached regularly with requests for the relatively straightforward, to the weird and wonderful, every project undertaken is done so with commitment, creativity and a desire to produce the very best product for every customer.
Manufacturing bespoke products from its home in Lancashire is at the forefront of the business; an eclectic mix of materials make up the Aladdin’s Cave that is Chantelle Lighting’s workshop. Finely cut glass crystals, antique jars and jewels from around the world nestle closely against rustic restored cart wheels such is the mix of wants and needs.
The factory floor is a wealth of creative knowledge, boasting craftsmen and artisans, who understand exactly how to create high end, innovative products for customers.
This being said, Chantelle has proudly launched three bespoke lighting ranges which are set to soar into the industry this year, adding to its growing portfolio.
The company has produced Retrospect, Voyage and the Carnaby Collection; all unique in their own way and ideal for a variety of design projects.
“Following the success of our previous ranges, we felt it only fitting to start the new year with these fabulous collections” said Anthony Holly, managing director.
“It’s taken time to decide on the right products for each distinctive range and we carried extensive research into trends and fashion for 2016 before coming to our decision.
“We’ve had a hugely positive response so far and are looking forward to seeing how designers choose to incorporate the products into their work.”
Channelling the current retro trend, the Retrospect Collection features eight nostalgic pendants, floor lamps and table lamps. All display the distinctive retro conical shape in a classy black finish and gold trimmings; the range is named after film stars of the 50s and 60s.
The Voyage Collection takes inspiration from the departing look of the fittings. Boasting smooth lines and movement, the range is modern and the four fittings work well together or as stand-alone pieces.
Inspired by the famous scene of London’s Carnaby Street, The Carnaby Collection has seven stylish fittings aptly named after a fashion icon of the era. Retro glass globes feature heavily; a dream range for designers to work with.
Anthony added: “Each range has its own unique selling point, and there’s something very special about them all.”
Previous ranges created by Chantelle Lighting have been extremely popular within the interior design industry, including its very first range, District, which features seven different colours, all named after seven districts in and around New York: Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Yonkers, Staten, Newark and Queens.
Highlights of the range include the tall Manhattan pendant which is typical of the themes seen in Manhattan’s chic bars and restaurants and the very popular urban inspired Bronx pendant, reminiscent of the Art Deco styles of homes and apartments popular in the Bronx in the 1920s.
The seven lights look stunning alone or as part of a set and with the choice of jet green, petrol blue, chocolate, honey, smoke, washed out red and wine coloured glass frames to choose from, there is a shape and colour to match all interior design projects.
Following the success of this range, Chantelle added to its portfolio last year, creating the exquisite Lumiere, Elemental and Ombre ranges.
Lumiere is inspired by the elegance and luxury of gentleman’s clubs and smoking rooms; each fitting has an exclusive French gold finish and filament bulbs, adding a touch of class to any room.
Strong geometric lines feature heavily in the Elemental range, made up of five fittings; incorporating a smooth brass finish and a single filament bulb which is exclusive to Chantelle.
Manufactured using copper, one of the hottest materials in 2015, the Ombre range features seven pendants which are sophisticated, elegant and endearing, with an industrial edge.
Chantelle Lighting take the time to study and research trends, materials and fashions, incorporating these ideas into its designs to produce beautiful, bespoke lighting products, which are well received across the UK.
