  • INSPIRED DESIGNS FOR OUR NEW WORLD

With many companies now embracing a working from home model, the UK workforce is having to face the stark reality that spending more time at home could be set for the long term, so the balance between work and everyday life has never been more relevant. Many have felt the pressure of staying productive while work has unknowingly but visibly intruded into our homes.  Stylish, high-quality and functional furniture is a must; at the very least to make our lives easier during these times and much more enjoyable.

And stylish, quality and functional furniture is exactly what London based interior design and furniture firm ElevenK offers. In fact, this furniture ticks all the boxes.  Founded during lockdown by Interior Designer Magdalena Guenole and Project Manager and entrepreneur Helen Wyatt, ElevenK is a new interior design and furniture company with a message: Home working environments matter.

Magdalena and Helen are eminently equipped to deliver on ElevenK’s vision of helping people to improve their home working environments by fusing a modern edged approach to design with the age-old traditions of furniture making. Magdalena’s portfolio includes designing luxury homes and furniture for some of the world’s most discerning clients. She had never encountered a furniture company able to deliver her projects as well as give physical form to her concepts as efficiently and flawlessly as Helen along with her husband, James Wyatt, a master craftsman in his own right.  So, when Magdalena began to turn her attention to designing home furniture, she immediately knew who to approach. Her call to Helen was fortuitous and well-timed. Helen had just founded Fitt-BOX during the lockdown; a practical and affordable plyometric exercise box for working out at home. Helen had also been considering a solution for the exodus of office workers who now needed home office furniture. These early conversations sparked the genesis of ElevenK.

Having done their research they quickly realised that distinctive but sensibly priced furniture was almost non-existent.  They knew that by combining their skills and experience they could fill the void and provide high-quality, beautifully crafted yet functional furniture that could begin to add value to people’s lives, as well as look beautiful in their homes. Helen says “we wanted to make furniture that was more than just a desk. We offer sustainable pieces that are produced using traditional and modern methods and skills.  These pieces are not only designed to work right now, but they are also multi-functional pieces with an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic designs that will stand the test of time.  What’s more, we are so proud to be able to say that all our furniture is designed and made within the UK”.  Magdalena added “all of our pieces of furniture are customisable, we can produce them to fit perfectly in your home, we can create these pieces from many different materials and they can be finished in any colour”.

ElevenK is not only designing for today, their furniture pieces are classics of the future. This isn’t mass produced, disposable furniture, it is edgy British design that promises to transform working and living experiences in our new world.
