The School of Design, Craft and Visual Arts is based at the High Wycombe Campus of Bucks New University. Our friendly well-equipped school is perfectly placed to offer the kind of individual attention that is often lacking from larger Art & Design institutions.
Design courses have been a feature of the school for a number of years. The new interior product pathway of our BA (Hons) Product Design will focus upon small household products and the environment in which they are used. You will have access to a range of materials including ceramics, wood, metal, plastics and textiles.
The course will enable you to work on a variety of live client briefs as well as translate your concepts into practical models using our excellent workshop facilities to produce prototypes, complex computer models and simulations.
On the Product Design pathway of our MA in Art and Design Practice you can enhance your product design skills and study alongside students from a range of design and engineering disciplines.
We have strong associations with the Institution of Engineering Designers and the Chartered Society of Designers and will work with you to boost your career prospects.
