Working with designers, architects and retail clients, the bespoke service offers a rescue for awkward a-symmetrical alcoves and creating oversized pieces for high ceilings and large scale.

Since launching Orchid in 2002, Co-founders & Directors, Jemma Page & Mimmi Waugh have developed the brand as the UK’s leading specialist in unique one-off items of restored Oriental furniture, lamps and accessories, but with their flare for design and great service are broadening their appeal through intensive one-day design work shops, held in store, as well as home design visits (free of charge) to help customer pull a scheme together. Collaborations with fabric, wallpaper and designers are resulting a strong niche concept brand offering an all-round service and products for both classic and contemporary schemes.
Jemma observes “ As furniture designers who are obsessed with colour combinations, I don’t know why we have been slow to appreciate the colour green, especially given our love of all things botanical. However, just recently we have had a bit of a green epiphany and realised what a versatile colour it actually is! We have found that, just like our signature blue combinations, that green is also is like a neutral and so easy to live with. It goes with wood beautifully and anything other natural textures, so we have been having great fun introducing it to our mix. Green goes so well with other colours too – the ubiquitous grey but also with shades of sophisticated saffron orange.”
