Frinton Frames are artisan picture frame makers based in Frinton on Sea in Essex. We are a family run business established for over 40 years specialising in producing antique reproduction frames using hand carved wooden box moulds from the 18th century.
Due to our huge ‘library’ of authentic period moulds, we are able to reproduce the most comprehensive range of period designs including Victorian, Regency, Neo Classical, Art Deco and Nouveau. In addition we have a contemporary selection of frames and mouldings to appeal to the more modern markets.
All our frames are all produced at our purpose built workshops and we have a large showroom to exhibit a selection of our frames that we offer.
Our team of highly-skilled craftsmen and our large workshop provide us with the experience and capacity to meet the requirements of all our discerning clients.
Our client base is very varied – from Picture Framers to shop fitters, Interior designers to film set directors.
We work extensively with Pinewood, Shepperton and Elstree producing tailor made pieces for both film and TV work. Our first foray into the world of Film was with the ‘DaVinci Code’, starring Tom Hanks. We were asked to recreate the Louve which we did so successfully and we became the ‘go to’ Company for Film set directors.
Whether creating 24’ x 6’ foot frames for fish tanks in night clubs, or ornate period mouldings for Royal portraits we at Frinton Frames have a reputation not only for quality but also unrivalled customer service.
We are constantly evolving, which is essential to our longevity and success and are always looking for new ways to take the Company forward. Within the fine art and Picture framing trade we are well known for our Traditional frames we produce but we have also become very popular with ultra- modern LCD TV suppliers. Working with a number of diverse mix of clients we are able to give a very authentic period frame to go round a TV screen which may turn into a mirror or picture when not in use. We have to accommodate all the modern technology, sensors, transformers and speakers – a true marriage of old and new.
Our main strength at Frinton Frames is our versatility. We offer such a huge selection of designs which can be made in any colour – Bubblegum pink, or antique gold, gloss white or water gilded gold leaf, the possibilities are endless.
